Twenty years ago, Morgan wanted to improve a narrow, windowless stairwell in her condo. She attempted to recreate through paint the view from her balcony where she had lived in Granada, Spain: a narrow, cobblestoned street lined with shops, stray dogs, and señoras carrying their daily provisions. While painting the mural, Morgan fell under a magical spell where time stood still and she forgot to eat lunch. By the time she finished the mural, the top of the stairs had become her favorite spot in the house.
Morgan has been painting murals around the world for the past 20 years. She is passionate about the dramatic transformation that mural art can have on a space, and its ability to inspire us to a more beautiful world. Morgan has painted over 500 murals, including 50 public murals in the San Francisco Bay Area alone. In 2017, she was invited to Jianxi, China to participate in the Miracle Mural project. She joined 100 other mural artists from 60 different countries, as each artist created a mural based on the theme of “Peace and Transformation.”
